The twenty-first Lucca Comics and Game Festival, a truly world class event, will be held in the beautiful Tuscan city of Lucca (the largest Italian city with its medieval walls still intact) from November 1st to November 4th. This year the culture program at Italy's leading game festival covers two main events one of which is a celebration the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, with a screening of the complete saga, while the other is an in-depth examination of the influential German board game school.

Guests of honor at this year's fair include the legendary board game designer Dr. Reiner Knizia, Margaret Weis, Ciruelo, Brian Froud, Joe Dever, and Robert Gould.  The Lucca Fair has expanded its exhibition area to 7,500 square meters and its gaming space to15,000 square meters to include themed areas for card games, miniature games, board games, and a dedicated zone for live role-playing games.
