The three year old deal for a movie based on the Ghouly Boys property (originally a comic published by SLG, see “Ghouly Boys Movie Deal”) has suddenly come to life with a new writer, according to Hollywood Reporter.  Mandate Pictures has hired Sam Esmail to write the film as his first sold script (although he’s had buzz for a spec script). 

The script will follow a child and a young zombie on an adventure.
