With the furor over rising comic book prices, it is worth noting that Radical Publishing is moving to an innovative new publishing format.  Radical plans to publish the typical six-issue comic book story arcs in three issues, each of which will feature 48 pages of story, rather than in the traditional six 22-page issues.  The 48-page issues will retail for $4.99, which is cheaper than the cost of two issues, but the 48-page issues will not be the material’s final format.  Radical does plan to combine the three 48-page issues into trade paperback collections.  For Radical the pamphlet isn’t dead, but it is getting bigger.
