Screenwriter (and soon to be director) David Hayter and producer Benedict Carver have formed Dark Hero, a new studio that will produce genre films based on comics and graphic novels, videogames, and original scripts.  Hayter has written X-Men, X2, The Scorpion King, and co-wrote Watchmen.

Hayter is about to direct his first film, Slaughter’s Road, a werewolf flick which Carver will co-produce.  Demonology, which Hayter wrote and will direct, will be the first film from the new company.
