The first Konami-run Yu-Gi-Oh! Shonen Jump Championship (see “Konami Brings Back Shonen Jump Championships”) drew nearly 900 Duelists, around double Konami’s expectations, according to Konami Digital Entertainment VP Yumi Hoashi.  The turnout on the weekend of April 25-26 made the event the second largest Shonen Jump Championships ever. 

 

This was the first Shonen Jump Championship since Konami took over distribution of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TCG from Upper Deck.
