David Loftus of AK Comics in Beloit, Wisconsin read the recent Talk Back by Noah Broessel regarding Diamond skipping a shipping week at the end of December (see "Noah Broessel of Pop Culture Paradise on Diamond's Holiday Shipping") and had this to say:
I just read Noah Broessel of Pop Culture Paradise's comments about Diamond skipping a week at the end of the year. I had the same idea that Noah had in regards to taking an uninterrupted week vacation with the kids. Poor Disney is going to be swamped with comic geeks!
My only, oh let's call it "concern," is with the Diamond bill. A month or so back, it was mentioned that Diamond always seems to have a large shipment at the end of the month. Large shipment = large bill. As far as I can tell, just because Diamond is not shipping us our books the last week of December, doesn't mean they aren't getting THEIR shipment that week from DC, Marvel, et al. Seems to me like my first week of January shipment is going to be HUGE!!!!!
