Jim Simon, son of the legendary Joe Simon, read Steve Bennet's recent column mentioning the upcoming ShieldMaster graphic novel (see "Confessions of a Comic Book Guy--The Boy Who Hates Us All") and responds:

In regards to the column "Confessions of a Comic Book Guy--The Boy Who Hates Us All" by Steve Bennett, nice article but Steve and his readers should know that ShieldMaster is not going after the Direct Market, and yes, I know what the Direct Market is today.

Also the link referenced to the Simon web site is incorrect.  A little fact checking would have helped.
