French retailer Damien Rameaux of AstroCity Comic Shop in Lille, France participated in his very first Free Comic Book Day event and sent in this report.
 
My shop is called AstroCity Comic Shop (opened in 1998) and we tried, for the fist time, Free Comic Book Day this year!  It was a huge success and even the local press mentioned it!

I need to mention that the 1st of May is a day off in France with 99% of the shops being closed.  But I managed to make my costumers come in--thanks to the Free Comic Book Day!  We enjoyed it and so did they.
