IDW Publishing and CBS Consumer Products have announced they will be publishing comic books based on the CBS television show Jericho about residents of a fictional, post-apocalyptic town.  In February IDW will release both Jericho #4 and Jericho Redux which continues directly from the finale of the post-apocalyptic series.

Jericho Redux collects the three issues of Jericho Season #3: Civil War that were published by Devil’s Due Publishing in 2009 (see “’Jericho’ Comic from DDP”) written by the show’s writers and producers Dean Scotz, Robert Levine and Jason M. Burns.  Jericho #4 will feature all new material from writer Matthew Federman and artist Matt Merhoff.

“We’re very excited to be part of this universe,” said IDW Chief Operating Office Greg Goldstein, “Jericho is a powerful story with a very active fan base, and we’re happy to be able to continue this adventure with them.”
