Emil Novak of Queen City Bookstore, Inc. in Buffalo, New York writes in to voice his displeasure regarding the upcoming second printing of Superman: Earth One Hardcover.
Could DC editorial have screwed this up any more than they have already? How can something be a "rushed back to print" edition if that takes 3-4 week to be available again?! And for it to be restocked after "Black Friday" is not acceptable.
The hype is all gone. The fans are not happy. The retailers are not happy. And for the "real" importance of something as important as this to not have been better explained to retailers is frolic in business. Also, how did this item get decided as a hardcover? If it's as hot as you say, then a softcover would have made better sense; then you could have over printed it by 35% and it would have covered the demand.
Another unhappy DC products retailer in the pre-Christmas season.
