ComiXology has launched a beta version of its Comics by comiXology app for Android devices.  The Android app (which will run on version 2.1 or above) will allow for in-app purchases, reading on Android devices, and synchronization of purchases across all three ComiXology platforms (iOS, Web, and Android). 

Over 2,500 comics are offered for sale and over 300 offered free, from over 40 publishers, are available through the app.  ComiXology offers DC and other publishers on all three of its platforms (buy once, read anywhere); Marvel is currently available only for iOS devices.
