Retailer and publisher tweets are indicating that Haven Distributors has notified its customers that it will be shutting down at the end of the month.  Haven was a distributor of comics that acquired assets of Cold Cut in 2008 (see “Haven Distributors Talks to ICv2”).  The largest publisher it was selling was BOOM! Studios (see “BOOM! Does Haven Deal”), as the larger comic publishers all sell to comic stores exclusively through Diamond Comic Distributors. 

The shutdown leaves Last Gasp, Tony Shenton, and Liber Comic Distro as the only sources other than Diamond for wholesale independent comics, along with book wholsalers as sources for graphic novels.
