Top Shelf Productions and Knockabout Comics have teamed up to produce Unearthing, a narrative art book from Alan Moore with photography by Mitch Jenkins.  The book is a history of South London and a "mystical journey" chronicling the life of Moore’s close friend and mentor Steve Moore (no relation), an author, orientalist, and occultist.

Unearthing, which dates back a couple of years to a series of live shows and a spoken-word CD/LP boxed set, will be released in three editions, two of which will be available through traditional retail outlets: a deluxe softcover edition with French flaps ($29.95) and a limited (to 1,500 copies) double-sized hardcover edition ($74.95).

A limited (to 300 copies) double-sized hardcover edition with a letterpress bookplate, hand-signed and numbered by Alan Moore and Mitch Jenkins, is now available for preorder for $99.95 exclusively through Top Shelf’s website.  Each of the three editions is 184 pages in length.

Set for release in December, Unearthing is recommended for mature readers.
