Marvel Comics has released Skottie Young’s variant cover image for the October-shipping Marvel NOW! Point One #1, and its another doozy in Young’s series of "baby variants" that depict familiar superhero characters as cute and cuddly infants.  In this case it is the infantile versions of Nick Fury (complete with eye patch) along with Agent Coulson and Maria Hill, who are evidently being removed from any possible troublemaking by Fury who is using a remote-controlled version of the Avengers Helicarrier to suspend the two tots well away from any possibility of creating mischief.

 

This variant will grace the cover of Marvel NOW! Point One #1, which the House of Ideas sees as an ideal entry point to the new Marvel Universe, which according to accompanying description, is heading in "an all-new direction this fall."  While we doubt that the “new direction” Marvel is talking about is "back to the cradle," there is no denying the appeal of Young’s wonderfully cartoony cover designs.
