The original Ninjak will be released as a deluxe hardcover on February 17th, Valiant announced.  Collecting issue numbers 1-6, 0, and 00 from the 1994 series, Valiant Masters: Ninjak Vol. 1 - Black Water was written by Mark Moretti (Bloodshot), with art by Moretti and current Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada (whose art also graces the cover).

 

Weighing in at 184 pages and carrying a suggested retail price of $24.95, the book chronicles the origin and early adventures of Colin King, codenamed Ninjak, a British superspy who’s as well-versed with the ladies as he is with a variety of specialized fighting techniques.  He must travel the world to stop Dr. Silk and his "Black Water" weapon before it goes online.

 

In addition to the story, Valiant Masters: Ninjak Vol. 1 features process art and rarely seen sketches.  The collection makes a timely companion piece to Enter: Ninjak (see "'Ninjak' Returns in September"), the new ongoing series.
