Marvel and Canadian Niagara Group announced plans to launch Marvel's Adventure City, a 'retail-tainment destination,' as a 30,000 square foot facility in the 20-acre Falls Avenue Complex in Niagara Falls, Canada.  The facility will feature rides and games, as well as a retail center featuring exclusive Marvel merchandise.  We asked a Marvel representative for more details about the exclusive merchandise and were told, 'It will be exclusive apparel and other high-end collectibles that will only be available at this location.'

Canadian Niagara will finance and construct the facility, which will be designed by Forrec, the same company that designed Legoland and the Marvel attraction at Universal Studios Orlando.  The concept, according to Paul Gitter, Marvel VP Consumer Products/Retail Devlopment is '...a branded destination that combines the interactive entertainment of a theme park with merchandise of a fine retail store in a moderately sized location at...a low cost to the consumer.'   Marvel's Adventure City is scheduled to open in May.
