Canadian RPG publisher Guardians of Order has announced a licensing agreement with DC Comics, which will result in a role-playing game based on two critically acclaimed comic book series published by Wildstorm, The Authority and StormWatch.  The Authority Core Rulebook will debut in the spring of 2004, with supplements following throughout the year.  The game will feature the Guardians of Order's patented Tri-Stat game mechanics.

Guardians of Order President Mark C. MacKinnon was delighted with the acquisition of the rights to the cutting edge comic series. 'Rife with hidden agendas, godlike powers, and nearly unstoppable opponents,' he said, 'this comic universe provides the perfect playground for superhero RPG enthusiasts.'  Wildstorm's Jim Lee was equally enthused at the prospect of an Authority RPG, 'I'm sure this RPG will be unlike any other and open the door for gamers to direct and experience their own all-new, over the top adventures.'

Guardians of Order, which has published a series of anime guides as well as an anime-based role-playing game (Big Eyes, Small Mouth), has also produced an excellent superhero RPG, the Silver Sentinels (see 'New Superhero RPG From Guardians Of Order') that is available in both Tri-Stat and d20 versions.
