A five-episode animated Web series based on Captain Canuck comics will be produced by Captain Canuck INC and Smiley Guy Studios, according to Hollywood Reporter.  The title role will be voiced by Kris Holden-Reid (Lost Girl) and the villain, Mr. Gold, will be voiced by Paul Amos (Warehouse 13). 

Comic artist Kalman Andrasofsky helped come up with the look of the new animated series.

A live action Captain Canuck movie is in development by Minds Eye Entertainment, with Arne Olsen (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie) writing the script.
