Dynamite Entertainment has announced the August 2013 debut of Lady Rawhide, the first chapter of a five-part miniseries designed to reintroduce the iconic comic book heroine to comic book fans. The new series will be written by Eric Trautman (Red Sonja, Vampirella) with interior artwork by Milton Estevan.
Lady Rawhide (and her alter ego Anita Santiago) was introduced into the Zorro mythos in 1994 (published by Topps Comics) as a masked vigilante who was good with a sword, a gun, or her signature bullwhip. Noted "good girl" artist Joseph Michael Linsner (Dawn) is providing the covers for both the regular and the Subscription-only editions of the first issue. The Subscription-only cover will be presented in "Black-and-White Line Art" style.
