WizKids has announced details of its upcoming Marvel HeroClix expansion, The Invincible Iron Man. The Gravity Feed is scheduled to release on October 30th, followed by the Booster Packs on November 13th. The release will be supported by an Organized Play program.
The Invincible Iron Man set introduces the new Improved Targeting combat ability, which allows players to make ranged attacks against enemies in new ways, to Marvel HeroClix. It also includes the Mandarin wearable rings (10 in all), randomly inserted throughout the five-figure boosters. Acquiring them all gives ultimate power.
The Invincible Iron Man Gravity Feed includes ten figures (including Iron Man, Guardian, Crossbones and Dreadnoughts) with flat rarity and all-new dial designs. They will be sold in single-figure foil packs for MSRP of $2.99.
This will be followed in November by the Booster Brick, which includes ten five-figure Booster Packs. The 60-figure set includes popular sub-themes including Iron Man’s allies and enemies (both classic and new), Alpha Flight, and others. There are 14 Common Figures (plus one Prime figure), 13 Uncommon Figures (plus one Prime figure), 12 Rare Figures (plus one Prime figure) 11 Super-Rare Figures (plus one Prime figure), and six Thematic Chase Figures. The suggested retail price for each booster brick will be $119.90.
The Marvel HeroClix: Invincible Iron Man Organized Play Kit will contain nine new limited edition figures (three each of three different figures), three 3D special objects (three copies of one 3D Object), three 3D Object Displays (three copies of one 3D Object Display), ten two-sided maps, and instructions for running events in store.
