Actor/producer Michael Chiklis’ 2010 Greek gods graphic novel Pantheon may be headed to television.  IDW Publishing’s  new Entertainment division (see "IDW Launches TV Development Division") plans to develop and produce the property as a scripted, live-action television series in conjunction with Chiklis, according to Deadline.
 
Pantheon was a 5-issue series created by Chiklis, Anny Simon Beck and Mac Andreyko (see "Michael Chiklis Signs GN Deal with IDW"), released by IDW Publishing and collected into a graphic novel.  The graphic novel followed a story of Greek gods returning to a near-future Earth, where they waged an epic good vs. evil battle against the Titans for the fate of mankind as Armageddon approached.
 
IDW Entertainment will fund development, co-producing the project with Circle of Confusion, which will oversee packaging and creative development.  After a showrunner is found to co-create the series with Chiklis, the project will be shopped to networks as a direct-to-series project.  Chiklis will also be executive producing, along with Ted Adams and David Ozer of IDW Entertainment, as well as David Alpert and Rick Jacobs of Circle of Confusion.  Chiklis, best known for starring in the TV series Vegas, The Shield and No Ordinary Family as well as his film role as Ben Grimm in Fantastic Four, also served as an executive producer on all three aforementioned TV shows.
