IDW and Darby Pop Publishing will launch City: The Mind in the Machine, a new comic series written by Eric Garcia with art by Javier Fernandez, in February.
Eric Garcia is a novelist and screenwriter, well known for his Anonymous Rex series, as well as Matchstick Men (which became a movie of the same name) and The Repossession Mambo (adapted into the movie Repo Men, for which he penned the screenplay). Javier Fernandez is known for his own creation El Muerto: The Aztec Zombie.
City: The Mind in the Machine is an action series looking at how codependent man and machine are becoming--to the point of merging, as well as looking at the changing roles security and technology play in modern society. Issue #1 will be 32 pages and retail for $3.99.
IDW announced a deal to publish and distribute comics from Darby Pop, a new company founded by writer/showrunner Jeff Kline, at Comic-Con this summer (see "Comic-Con Round-Up: IDW Publishing").
