Legendary has released the second U.S. trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire, the sequel to the successful 300, which was based on the Frank Miller graphic novel. An initial trailer was released back in June (see "First Trailer for '300' Sequel"), and an international trailer was released in August (see "'300: Rise of an Empire' International Trailer").
The film is now slated for March 7, 2014. There is still no word on the Frank Miller Xerxes graphic novel from Dark Horse, which had one preview in 2011 and a statement from Dark Horse CEO Mike Richardson that same year that Miller was working on the third of six issues (see "Mike Richardson: The ICv2 Interview Part 2"). If it is going to launch before the movie, it will be in January Previews, so we should know in the next couple of weeks.
Titan has 300: Rise of an Empire: The Art of the Film scheduled for February, which at least offers some merchandising potential if Xerxes isn’t available.
Second for U.S.
