Steve Jackson Games has announced four planned summer releases: Munchkin Apocalypse 2--Sheep Impact, Zombie Dice 3--School Bus, Munchkin Apocalypse Kill-o-Meter and Ogre Pocket Edition. USAopoly also released details on the Munchkin: Adventure Time game they are partnering with SJG to produce.
Planned for May release, Munchkin Apocalypse 2 –Sheep Impact is a 106-card expansion for Munchkin Apocalypse. Cards include weapons like "Patriot Axe" and "Ketchup Gas;" amour cards "Bomb Suit" and "Survival Manual;" enemies like "The Thawed Reich," "Antisocial Media," and "Disaster! Velocirapture!;" and the new Seals card "The Singularity." It also includes the new Daredevil class. As an expansion, it requires the Munchkin Apocalypse base set to play. MSRP is $19.95.
Also from the Munchkin Apocalypse universe in May is the Munchkin Apocalypse Kill-o-Meter. The package contains one two-sided combat counter and two special Munchkin Apocalypse bonus cards. MSRP is $6.95.
Zombie Dice 3 – School Bus is an expansion for Zombie Dice. The box contains one custom 12-sided school bus die (which contains icons for chasing runners off the bus, getting run over, and getting double-shotgunned), 14 brain and shotgun counters, and a rule sheet. As an expansion it requires the base game to play. MSRP is $8.95. The game is planned for release in May.
Ogre Pocket Edition is a return to the original microgame roots of Steve Jackson’s first game, and a perfect answer for those weary of carrying around the 29-pound box of Ogre Designer’s Edition. The pack contains a small rulebook, 140 counters, and the same bare-bones map Jackson drew himself for the first printing. MSRP is $2.95. Release date has not been announced.
SJG and USAopoly have also released details of the Munchkin: Adventure Time adaptation, which was announced at Gen Con last year (see "'Munchkin: Adventure Time'"). Players can play as Finn, Jake, Marceline or one of their other favorite characters from the show. There are helper cards like "Tree Trunks" and "Susan Strong;" weapons like "The Enchiridion," "Ball Blam Burglerber," and "Axe-Bass;" and enemies like "Me-Mow," "Ricardio," and "The Ice King." The game is for players ages 10 and up, and has an MSRP of $24.95. Release is scheduled for Summer 2014.
