Convention organizer ReedPOP has joined the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund as its newest corporate member, the organization announced. ReedPOP is the organizer of New York Comic Con, C2E2, Star Wars Celebration, and other shows. The CBLDF provides legal and educational resources that protect the freedom to read comics.
"We at ReedPOP have proudly supported the CBLDF’s important work protecting the freedom to read since we started hosting conventions," ReedPOP Global SVP Lance Fensterman said. "Their work ensures that the fans, creators, dealers, and publishers who gather at our events are free to explore the full universe of storytelling possibilities comics offer. We’re glad to take this step in providing a more meaningful level of support for their important work."
Other CBLDF corporate members include Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, BOOM! Studios, ComiXology, Dark Horse Comics, DC Entertainment, DCBS.com, Diamond Comic Distributors, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Random House, Valiant Entertainment, and TFAW.com.
