Mark Canton, who produced both 300 movies, is developing a feature film based on The Sadhu, originally published by Virgin Comics, according to Hollywood Reporter. The story for Warrior: Revenge of The Sadhu is from a digital comic series by Graphic India co-founders Sharad Devarajan and Gotham Chopra that’s planned for launch in India later this year.
Graphic India was formed by Liquid Comics (see "Liquid Comics Launches Graphic India") and an Asian arm of Peter Chernin’s The Chernin Group. Chernin Group recently acquired anime and manga subscription site Crunchyroll (see "Crunchyroll Sold").
The Sadhu was among the first titles published by Virgin Comics back in 2006 (see "First Four Virgin Comics"). Nicolas Cage was attached to star in a movie adaptation for a time (see "Nicolas Cage to Star in 'The Sadhu'").
