Penguin’s InkLit imprint has acquired a new original graphic novel by Thomas Sniegoski: The Raven’s Child. Sniegoski is a New York Times bestselling author, a fit for InkLit’s literary graphic novel strategy (see "Penguin's Graphic Novel Line's Literary Focus"). He wrote the Remy Chandler novels and the YA series Fallen, the basis for an ABC Family miniseries. Sniegoski has also done comics work for Marvel, DC, Dynamite, and is the only writer other than Jeff Smith to ever write a Bone story (see "Jeff Smith Creating More 'Bone' Comics").
The Raven’s Child tells the story of a young woman taking up arms in the dystopian world following an alien invasion. Art on the book will be by Tom Brown.
The deal was made by InkLit’s Richard Johnson and Kate Schafer Testerman of KT Literary.
