Product and promotional activity around Pokemon is kicking up in the wake of the U.S. launch of the new Pokemon X and Y videogame, which has sold over 12 million units worldwide since launch in October, and the related anime and TCG. 

VIZ Media has announced three multi-volume Pokemon box sets under its Perfect Square imprint for Fall.  Pokemon Adventures Ruby & Sapphire Box Set, which will collect the Ruby & Sapphire arc (vols. 15-22) from Pokemon Adventures, along with a color poster, will street in September for $59.99.

Pokemon Black and White Box Set 2, with volumes 9-14 of Pokemon Black and White with a color poster, will street in September at $25.99.

And Pokemon Adventures Diamond & Pearl/Platinum, with Vols. 1-11 of Pokemon Adventures,and a color poster, will street in October at $89.99.

McDonald's will run a Pokemon XY Happy Meals promotion at U.S. stores from May 23 to June 12.  Each Happy Meal will include one of 12 Pokemon TCG cards, and one of 12 Pokemon battle launcher toys, some with classic characters and others with new X and Y characters like Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas, and Yveltal. 

McDonald's will run a full marketing campaign supporting the Happy Meals program including TV ads, in-store POP, and online support.
