UDON Entertainment has announced a new line of manga-style adaptations of classic literature, which it will market under a Manga Classics imprint.  The line will kick off with Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables and Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, releasing in August.  The Manga Classics line is intended for a young adult audience, and will feature "strong and accurate adaptations that will please even the toughest teacher or librarian" as well as lush artwork.

The first Manga Classic adaptations will release in both hardcover and softcover editions, at $24.99 and $19.99, respectively.  Both titles will have prereleases at the ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas and Comic-Con International in San Diego in July.
