Marvel Comics has revealed Ed McGuinness’ "Mortal Variant" cover for Death of Wolverine #1, the September-shipping title that chronicles the grisly end of once mighty mutant, now stripped of his mutant healing factor, and vulnerable as never before (see "Wolverine Taking a Dirt Nap in September").
The Death of Wolverine #1, which is written by Charles Soule and drawn by Steve McNiven, who also provides the regular cover, is due out on September 3rd, 2014. Marvel also plans to issue the Death of Wolverine with a special Etched Holofoil cover that had to be ordered in advance of the regular issue (see "Wolverine's Death Will Be Shiny").
