Mark Waid will write a new creator-owned series for BOOM! Studios, he announced Tuesday.  Waid described the new series as "dangerous," and "not the kind of thing any other comic company would touch."  The artist is "one of the most revered artists in comics," he said.

Waid was once Chief Creative Officer at BOOM! Studios, but left that position in 2010 (see "Waid Out as BOOM! CCO"), continuing to write for the company for a time after his departure as CCO.
