Candice Uyloan, who has been Director of Marketing and Brands at VIZ Media and was previously Senior Marketing Manager at Tokyopop, is joining Bluefin Distribution as Director of Marketing, reporting to President John Parker.  In her new role, Uyloan will be responsible for all marketing campaigns, special events and PR programs for Bluefin and its partners.  She will also oversee the direction of Bluefin’s brand managers to ensure all of its brands are accurately and appropriately represented.
 
Parker was named President at Bluefin at the end of September (see "Diamond, Tpop Vet Goes to Bluefin").  The former Vice President--Business Development at Diamond Comic Distributors had been President and COO at Tokyopop for 12 years prior to his tenure at Diamond. 
 
With over 15 years of marketing experience, Uyloan handled high profile properties such as Naruto, Bleach and One Piece at VIZ, and successfully developed marketing campaigns for popular titles such as Fruits Basket, Kingdom Hearts and Mobile Suit Gundam during her time at Tokyopop.
