Five publishers with comic book connections have selected Diamond Book Distributors for bookstore representation.  The most important publisher of the group, at least in light of current sales trends in bookstores, is probably Fanboy Entertainment, which was founded by C.B. Cebulski.  Cebulski helped start Central Park Media's manga division and is now at Marvel.  Fanboy publishes manga, including Angel's Wing by Tetsuya Aoki and the shoujo title Nozomi.  Fanboy has already published two volumes of Angel's Wing, though the books' format--72-page, full color American comic book size -- is not what the market is endorsing these days.  But manga is dominating graphic novel sales in bookstores, and Fanboy has some potential.

The other four new Diamond clients, Mad Yak Press, Red Eye Press, the Dirty Danny Legal Defense Fund, and the latest incarnation of Tony Caputo's Now Comics (now known as Now Media Group), all have strong small press ties, including Now, which is reprinting Ralph Snart Adventures in a trade paperback format.
