Rick Friedberg, director of Spy Hard, has officially optioned Stefan Petrucha's comic book saga, Lance Barnes Post Nuke Dick, which originally appeared as a four-issue mini series from Marvel's Epic line in 1993. 

Cult favorite Matt Frewer (Max Headroom, Steven Spielberg's Taken) is attached to the project and will star as Lance Barnes, the guilt-ridden detective who plies his trade among the mutant-laden remnants of a near-dead mankind. 

Moonstone Comics plans to re-release the original series of Lance Barnes comics as a trade paperback in 2004 with a new painted cover by Joel Naprstek and a new Lance Barnes prose story by Stefan Petrucha.
