Toycom has announced a second series of PVC figures from Ken Akamatsu's hugely popular Love Hina.  The Love Hina Again PVC Figurine Collection Series #2 features the lovely tenants of the Hinata Apartments dressed in their best beachwear.  Each of the solid plastic figures features detailed paint application, a display stand, and comes sealed on blister card style packaging.  The six figures in Series 2 include Naru, Haruka, Mitsumi, Nyamo, Tsuruko and Sarah.  Each figure has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $5.99, and the figures come packed 48 to a case, with each case containing eight complete sets of the six figures.  Toycom plans on shipping the figures to retailers in the spring of 2004.

Even though Bandai has released the last Love Hina anime on DVD and Tokyopop has published the fourteenth and final volume of the Love Hina manga series, don't believe for a minute that this property is dead.  Love Hina action figures, PVC figurines, and statues continue to sell at retail -- and the Series 2 PVC Figurines from Toycom certainly won't be hurt by the fact that the Love Hina lovelies are wearing hot beach fashions.
