Lions Gate Films is partnering with Marvel Enterprises to provide moviegoers who attend The Punisher movie with a reprint edition of Amazing Spider-Man #129, the issue in which the Punisher first appeared. Tom Ortenberg, President of Lions Gate Films, loves the fact that the companies will be giving away a comic from the 1970s: 'As a film, The Punisher harks back to the classic action films of the 1970s, so it made perfect sense to reprint the 1974 comic that started it all.' The Punisher opens on April 16. Participating theaters will give away one comic book with one paid admission to The Punisher, while supplies last. The exact number of reprinted issues of Amazing Spider-Man #129 is not available. The original comic book has sold for over $900 on eBay.
