Image Comics has announced that it will publish Michael Avon Oeming's Six, a 56-page black-and-white one-shot, co-written by Dan Berman and drawn by Ethen Beavers.  The story of an alien exposed to the logic and emotion of humanity through dreams, Six was described by Oeming as ' a kind of mix of Richard Linklaters' Waking Life and The Hidden, a great B-movie from the eighties -- or for you art snobs, Jean-Luc Godard's whacked-out classic Alphaville.'

Oeming, whose Image series Powers recently moved to Marvel's Icon imprint (see 'Marvel Launches New Imprint'), wanted to make it clear after recent Internet speculation that he was eager to get started on his next project for Image, 'Working with Image over the years has been great, and with our Powers move to Icon, I thought it really important to follow up with an Image project.' Several of Oeming's previous Image series are available in trade paperback editions including Hammer of the Gods, Bastard Samurai, and Parliament of Justice.
