TVShowsOnDVD is reporting that Warner Home Video will be releasing a three-disc set collecting all 19 episodes of the television series V: The Series on DVD for the first time, at a MSRP of $39.98, on July 27th.  Bonus material inclusion is still to be determined.

V: The Series originally aired in the fall of 1984, following the storyline begun in NBC's original four-hour mini-series V (May, 1983), and then continued in the six-hour sequel, V: The Final Battle.  Both mini-series have been available on DVD for a couple of years, and now with V: The Series scheduled for release on DVD and strong rumors of a new mini-series in development, tentatively titled, V: The Second Generation (see 'The Visitors Return'), the V franchise seems to be alive and well.

Sci fi/horror fans will enjoy the performance of and recognize one series regular, a young Robert (Freddy Krueger) Englund.
