Score Entertainment has changed the format of its Yu Yu Hakusho CCG expansion Exile by eliminating the previously announced starter decks in favor of a 'boosters only' release. Although Exile was originally announced as a 'starters and boosters release' (see 'Score Plans Four More Yu Yu Releases in '04'), Score has decided to eliminate the starter decks in order to reduce the number of skus that retailers will have to stock. With an unprecedented number of anime-based CCGs out this year, Score wants to eliminate any 'unnecessary configurations for retailers to maintain' for the Yu Yu Hakusho CCG, which was voted the top TCG of 2003 (see 'Yu Yu Hakusho Voted Top CCG'). The Exile Boosters will contain ten playable cards and one tip card and will retail for $2.99.
