SLG Publishing was promoting its graphic novel line at the recently concluded BookExpo America (see 'Graphic Novels Take Another Step Up at BEA'), with six new trade paperback properties launching between August and the end of the year.
SLG will publish the first of two digest-sized paperbacks collecting Marvel's Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventures in August (168 pages as $13.95), and the second in October. The Vol. 1 stories are written and drawn by Evan Dorkin, with inks by Marie Severin, Stephen DeStefano, and others. It features a new cover and intro by Dorkin.
X-Ray Vol. 1: Filth collects the earliest comic work of Landry Walker, Eric Jones, and Rustan Crade, who are the creative team behind SLG's Little Gloomy and Disney's Kid Gravity. It will be released at 144 pages for $14.95 in August. Vol. 2 will follow in November.
Little Scrowlie Vol. 1: The Call of Cuthbert collects issues one through four of the Todd Mester and Jen Feinberg series, with bonus stories and pinups. It will be a $10.95 120-page digest-sized trade paperback.
Bear Vol. 1: Immortal will collect five issues by Jamie Smart, plus bonus material, into a 144-page $13.95 comic-sized trade paperback for release in October.
Bombaby: The Screen Goddess will collect the Antony Mazzotta series into a 104-page $13.05 digest-sized trade paperback for release in October.
Loyola Chin and the San Peligran Order, by Gene Yang, will be released in December, following up the May release, Gordon Yamamoto and the King of the Geeks. It will also be in digest size.
