Crossgen, the Florida-based comic publisher, announced the signing of artist Karl Moline, who is currently penciling Joss Whedon's Fray (see 'Dark Horse Flogs Fray').  Moline will relocate to Tampa once he has completed his work on Fray in January 2002.  Moline will begin his stint at Crossgen with relief issues of Ruse and Negation before receiving his own title later in the year.

In addition to the highly successful Fray (Issue #1 had to go back to press for an additional 10,000 copies), Moline has drawn 2099: World of Tomorrow for Marvel, and Vampirella Strikes Back for Harris Comics.

Crossgen has continued to create an impressive roster of talent including George Perez, Mark Waid, and Butch Guice (see 'Butch Guice Joins Crossgen') among others. The signing of Karl Moline demonstrates that Crossgen is continuing the aggressive expansion of its comic publishing.  Crossgen has the personnel in place to continue to increase the number of titles in its line and solidify its position as the number five comic publisher
