Bandai Entertainment has announced that it will present a screening of the 1991 film Mobile Suit Gundam F91 at Otakon, which will be held in Baltimore from July 30 to August 1.  Mobile Suit Gundam F91, which was directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, help re-energize the Gundam franchise, when it was released to theaters in Japan back in 1991.  Bandai will present the film in its original Japanese language with English subtitles at Otakon.  Bandai is also planning a limited U.S. theatrical release for MSG F9l.  At this point Bandai has provided no details concerning the release of Mobile Suit Gundam F91 on DVD here in the U.S.

However Bandai's press release did reiterate that the long delayed Zeta Gundam series would be available on DVD before the end of the year, which along with the broadcast of the Gundam Seed series on the Cartoon Network, could indeed help make 2004 the 'Year of the Gundam' here in the States.
