Dave Brzeski of The House On The Borderland in Peterborough, United Kingdom saw the news that Green Lantern:  Rebirth #1 was going back to press for a fourth printing (see 'GL: Rebirth Goes to Fourth Printing'), and feels that speculator buying may have driven demand:

Y'know, I really have to wonder about this.  I didn't stock all that heavily on this title, because Green Lantern has never exactly flown off the shelves in recent memory, yet I still have first printings of the first three issues on the shelf at cover price.  I checked eBay to see if there really was a high demand, reflected in collectors paying high prices for first printings.  What did I find?  Numerous offers for job lots of 10 or more copies of the first printings, evidently from speculators, who no doubt caused the sellout in the first place by laying in so many copies to resell.  Is it any wonder I get cynical?
