Although his turnout was down, Ian Wienert of Bat Comics in Chico, California called his Free Comic Book Day (see 'FCBD 2005 in the Books') 'a success:'

Free Comic Book day was a fairly good experience.  We got some people who had never been at the shop come in for their comic and a look around.  There was a pretty good turnout, but not as high as in previous years.  All in all, I would say that it was a success.
