Disney Adventures magazine is adding Starlight Runner Entertainment's Team GoRizer, created by Jeff Gomez, to its stable of original and Disney-inspired content.  Team GoRizer is the story of Danny Rizer, a 14-year-old boy from Queens who discovers that he is a super-powered robot destined to compete with other robots in titanic confrontations that will be familiar at least in part to fans of robot manga and anime.  But author Jeff Gomez puts this anime-influenced storyline in a purely American social context as Danny has to deal with bigotry and alienation when he moves from the city to the suburbs.

Team GoRizer will debut in Disney Adventures, which is targeted at kids 6-12 and has a circulation of 1.2 million, in the fall of this year.
