At the San Diego Comic-Con International Dark Horse Comics announced a number of new manga titles including Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor, the Gungrave Anime Manga, and Hiroki Endo's Eden.
The most prominent of the new titles (at least here in the States) is Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor, a series of stories originally serialized as part of Ghost in the Shell 2 but not included by Shirow in the Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface collection. The stories, which include 'Fat Cat' from 1991, 'Drive Slave' from 1992, 'Mines of Mind' from 1995, and 'Lost Past' from 1996 will be published by Dark Horse in the spring of 2006 in the authentic 'right-to-left' format with the same mixture of color and black-and-white pages used in Japan.
In January of 2006 Dark Horse will publish the Gungrave Anime Manga, based on screen captures from the popular gangster/sci fi anime series (released in the U.S. by Geneon and shown on the G4TV's Anime Unleashed), which is based on characters created by Yasuhiro Nightow, creator of Trigun.
Later this year in November Dark Horse plans to release the challenging cyberpunk science fiction manga series Eden, by Hiroki Endo (see 'Dark Horse Nabs Crying Freeman Rights').
