DC Direct has announced a line of high-end Superman Returns authentic movie collectibles, which will be unveiled at the 2006 American International Toy Fair.  The line includes statues, busts, an action figure and a Kryptonite prop replica.  All of the items will ship in June before Superman Returns opens on June 29th. 

The first item in the series will be the Superman Returns: In Flight Statue, a limited edition (2,500), hand-painted cold cast porcelain statue (9.75' x 7.25' x 7.75') that goes on sale on June 7th with a suggested retail price of $150.00.

DC Direct is also offering a Superman Returns: Superman 13' Deluxe Collectors Action Figure, which includes an authentic movie costume, 28 points of articulation, a full color certificate of authenticity and a stand.  The Superman 13' Action Figure goes on sale on June 14th with a suggested retail price of $59.99.

On June 21st,  DC Direct will release three hand-painted cold-cast porcelain busts (MSRP $45 each) of Clark Kent, Superman, and Lex Luthor.  A week later DC Direct plans on shipping the Superman Returns: Superman Maquette (MSRP $195), a limited edition (1,750) 13.5-inch, hand-painted cold-cast porcelain figure, and the Superman Returns: Kryptonite Prop Replica (MSRP $195), a limited edition (1,000), hand-painted cold-cast porcelain replica molded from the original movie prop.
