Gene Smith of Alien Entertainment in Villa Park, Illinois sent us his report on Free Comic Book Day 2006:

Free Comic Book Day was our most successful since the first one and since we had some comics left from this year as well as the last two we decided to make it FCBD month and do it every Saturday in May.  We have picked up some new customers and had an increase in sales which is the name of the game.

One new customer, who does not have a computer, had no idea that we were the largest suppliers of Doctor Who merchandise in the US and he lives about a mile from the store.  We stopped putting out a print catalogue four years ago in favor of the internet but still find people who do not have access or want to.  This shows that we cannot forget this percentage of potential customers and must try harder to attract them than we have.
