Mongoose Publishing has announced a plethora of RPG releases for October including three volumes for its Conan line, a pair of novels based on the Babylon 5 RPG (MSRP $6.99 each), a key rules supplement for RuneQuest, an adventure scenario for Paranoia, and a brand new d20 fantasy game (Nephandum).
The Conan releases include two rules supplements, Hyborian Empire (MSRP $29.95), a full color, 160-page hardcover that will allow players to overthrow an existing government, take over the throne and run the kingdom; and Bounty Hunter (MSRP $24.95), a 96-page, full color guide to the world of freelance agents; plus a new adventure scenario, Reavers of Vilayet ($9.95), which pits a group of pirates and raiders against a mighty empire.
Mongoose is also releasing a key rules supplement for its RuneQuest RPG in October -- Magic of Glorantha, a full color 160-page hardcover detailing how to acquire and use magic in the Imperial Age, when the Empire of the Wyrm's Friends is arrayed against the powerful Middle Sea Empire.
Paranoia is one of the most innovative and interesting RPGs ever developed and Mongoose's October release, Sweep of Unhistory (MSRP $9.95), includes multiple scenarios stretching from the present (year 214 of the Computer's Rule) to the far, far future.
In October Mongoose is also planning to launch a new RPG, Nephandum, an extreme fantasy d20 system set in a dark cosmos composed of five unfathomable entities representing five different facets of fear: blood, darkness, disease, madness, and bestiality.
