Bandai is planning TV advertising on Cartoon Network to support the kick-off of its Legendary Ninja Premier Series organized play events in October. The ads will start on October 1st; the launch weekend for the OP events is October 13-15.
Each store where organized play events are held will be located in one of five regions (called 'villages' in the program), identified on an in-store banner provided as part the tournament store POP kit. Players will rise from 'Academy Level' ninja to 'Genin,' 'Chunin,' and 'Jonin' levels before one 'Kage' is chosen from each village. The five 'Kages' will compete to become the 'Sannin,' or Legendary Ninja of North America.
Players that continue participation will be rewarded, in addition to players that have the best won/loss record.
Pins will be awarded to mark each player's ascension to the next level. Prizes will include promo cards, accessories and playmats at the store level, and iPods, game systems, and laptops at the higher level events. The grand prize for the North American winner has not yet been announced.
